After many years in the financial services industry, I awoke one morning and said, "enough". Enough dealing with the intangible. I wanted to create something real. All I wanted to do was sew.
I enrolled in design classes, home decor classes, window covering classes, slipcover and upholstery classes. I casually apprenticed myself to the finest designers and sewers in the Northwest and asked 10 million questions.
In 2003, Susan Defenbaugh Design was born.
